Dakiti Gas Station β€” Puma fuel station overlooking Ensenada Honda with a Jeep at the pump
Gas Station

Dakiti Gas Station

Whether you're driving a rental Jeep, golf cart, UTV, or another vehicle, it's the place to refuel before continuing your island adventure. Culebra has one gas station, Dakiti Gas Station, offering fuel for both vehicles and boats. Location: If you're coming from Calle Castelar (where the Methodist Church is located), continue to the end of the street and turn right. Cross the bridge, then make another right turn. Continue straight, and you'll find Daquiti Gas Station at the end of the road. Services: Gasoline for cars and other vehicles. Fuel for boats and marine vessels.

Coral's Insider Tip

Since Dakiti Gas Station is the only gas station on Culebra, I always recommend keeping your fuel tank as full as possible β€” especially on weekends and holidays. During busy periods, when the island receives many visitors and recreational boats, fuel supplies may occasionally run low. Conveniently located near Colmado Milka, Dakiti provides fuel for both motor vehicles and boats, making it an essential stop before exploring the island or heading out on the water.

Its owners, Aneudy and Zuleika Morales, are known for their dedication, kindness, and outstanding customer service. They take great pride in keeping both the gas station and convenience store well stocked and ready to serve residents and visitors alike. Their commitment to quality service and their hardworking team have made Dakiti Gas Station a trusted stop for fuel, refreshments, and everyday essentials. ATM Services

Banco Popular ATM

Located in the heart of downtown Culebra, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, the Banco Popular ATM is the island's most convenient place to withdraw cash. Since some local businesses and food kiosks may only accept cash, it's a good idea to stop here before exploring the island.

Why Visit

  • Cash withdrawals
  • 24-hour ATM access
  • Debit and credit card withdrawals (network fees may apply)
  • Walking distance from the ferry terminal
  • Convenient downtown location

Hours

Bank branch: Mon–Fri during regular business hours

Credit Cards

Most major Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Plus, Cirrus, and other compatible ATM network cards.

Coral's Insider Tip

I always recommend that visitors withdraw enough cash soon after arriving in Culebra. Although many businesses accept credit cards, some small restaurants, beach kiosks, taxis, and local vendors may prefer or only accept cash. Having some cash on hand can make your visit much easier, especially during busy weekends or if internet service temporarily affects card payments.

Coral's Essential Recommendations

Keep the tank full. Dakiti is the island's only gas station. Refuel early on busy weekends and holidays.

Carry cash. Withdraw from Banco Popular near the ferry terminal for kiosks, taxis, and small vendors.

Save GMart for the road. Perfect for a quick stop on the way to or from Flamenco Beach.
