Coral Pier holds a very special place in my heart. I grew up here. My aunt, Coral Márquez, lived right across from the pier and was the person who built it. By coincidence, I was also named Coral, so growing up around a pier that carried my own name made it feel even more meaningful.

As children, this was our playground. We spent countless afternoons fishing, riding pedal boats that were kept on a nearby lot, and making memories with classmates, neighbors, and lifelong friends. Those simple moments shaped some of my happiest childhood memories.

Today, every time I visit Coral Pier, I'm reminded that Culebra is more than beautiful beaches — it's a place filled with stories, traditions, and memories that connect generations. For me, this isn't just one of the island's most beautiful waterfront spots; it's a place that will always feel like home.

If you ask me where I would go to end a perfect day in Culebra, Melones would be at the top of my list. I love coming here just before sunset, watching the sky slowly change colors behind Luis Peña, and staying after dark as the first stars begin to appear. The sound of the gentle waves, the fresh Caribbean breeze, and the peaceful surroundings create one of the most relaxing experiences you'll find anywhere on the island.
